THE ULTIMATE GUIDE TO GETTING A BEAUTIFUL LAWN
Early Spring:

Apply pre-emergent once soil temp reaches 50 degrees.

Dethatch the lawn to get more oxygen and nutrients to the grass roots.

If needed: Overseed or patch dead/thin areas with grass seed once soil temp has reached 50-60 degrees.

Optional: Apply a crawling insect/grub preventer.

Apply fertilizer.

Late Spring:
-
If need: Apply a post-emergent if there are still weeds in the lawn.

Apply fertilizer.

Fall:
-
Core aerate lawn to get healthier soil and grass.

If needed: Overseed or patch dead/thin areas with grass seed once soil temp has dropped to 50-60 degrees.

Apply a post and pre emergent (you will get the best results with herbicides in the fall time.)

Year Long Practices:
-
Mow at least once a week.
-
Never cut more than 1/3 of the grass blade off at one time.
-
Don't leave grass clippings clumped up on top of lawn.
-
Mulch as often as possible to give grass natural nitrogen (fertilizer).
-
Keep mower blades sharp and mower deck clean.
-
Water lawn to keep the grass growing and healthy.
